Important: To warranty our labor, we do not use customer-supplied parts. All parts must be sourced through C&L Transmissions.

🚗 For Vehicle Owners (In-Vehicle)

Step 1: Initial Diagnosis & Road Test
We'll schedule an appointment for a road test and initial diagnosis. This helps us determine if your issue is internal (transmission rebuild needed) or external (linkage, clutch, etc.). This initial diagnosis does not provide a detailed breakdown of internal damage.

Step 2: Teardown for Accurate Quote
For internal issues, we must disassemble the transmission to assess the actual damage and provide an accurate quote. Our shop rate is $130/hour for this teardown and inspection.

If you approve the work: We credit the teardown labor to your final bill.
If you decline the work: You pay only for the teardown labor. The transmission will remain disassembled (we don't reassemble non-working units).
